There are 3 feet in a yard and 12 inches in a foot.

Last time I answered the question; how many feet in a mile kind of simple. Let me try to expand the explanation a bit.

The question that is asked, is simply a comparison. You are comparing feet with miles. So in order to do a valid compariso, you need to make the compared, let me call this items, items the same value. In other words, you need to compare apples with apples, and not apples with pears, if you get what I mean.

In this example, the apples are feet, and the pears are the miles. So, to make a valid comparison, we got to get the same values. To go on with the fruit example. Lets make oranges from the apples and pears.

So…1 feet (apple) = 0.305 meter (oranges)
1 mile (pears) = 1609,334 meter (oranges)

And there you go, you have a valid comparison. Now you are comparing oranges with oranges. And just like last time, you’ll get the same answer to the question; How many feet in a mile. Your answer is 5280 feet in a mile.

After our first question: How many feet in a mile, we are now at our fourth question, which is: How many ounces in a cup.

By now you should know how we figure that out.

1 Cup = 0.25 Liter = 0.25 Kilograms
1 Ounce = 0.028 Kilograms

Now that we have converted both into kilograms, we can easily devide the numbers.

0.25 (Cups per kilogram) / 0.028 (Ounces per kiligram) = 8.82

And there you go folks, there are 8.82 ounces in a cup.

How many cups in a quart? Yes, you read it correct, how many cups in a quart.

As per usual, I’ll be rounding up the numbers. Here is goes, keep paying attention.

1 Cup = 0.25 Liter
1 Quart = 1.137 Liter

And what did we do last time to get our answer? Yes, you’re right as usual.

1.137 (Liters per Quart) / 0.25 (Liters per Cup) = 4.55 Cups per Quart.

So there you go folks, to your question: How many cups in a quart, the answer is 4.55

1 Ounce = 28,35 Grams
1 Pound = 453,592 Grams

So how do we get our answer? Yes, you’re right.

453,592 / 28,35 = 16

And there is your answer folks. There are 16 ounces in a pound.

So, now you can answer 2 more questions if people ask you the question.

How Many Feet In A Mile you ask me?

In the last couple of days, I’ve heared this question tons and tons of times. And everytime I heared this question I was laughing inside. and was thinking, dude… So, for the people out there, asking: How many feet in a mile? Here it comes, gonna round things up, so this won’t be a scientific answer.

1 Feet = 0,305 Meter
1 Mile = 1609,334 Meter

What we do now is this:

1609,334 (meters in a mile) / 0.305 (feet in a meter) = 5280 Feet in a mile.

There you go. There are 5280 feet in a mile. Please keep in mind, these numbers are rounded up.
